My GF had a breathing attack and we found out that she has "multiple" blood clots in her lungs. The CT Scan shows a patch that may be an "infarction".
She has been on Lovenox and Coumadin for three days now (is no longer struggling to breathe but has a new headache - that wont go away and neck pain) and he INR is still at level 1.
Shouldnt the blood thinner be affecting the INR? Why would it remain at 1 even though she is on coumadin?
