Low Frame-rate in Need for Speed 5 Porsche Unleashed?

Even though it is very old, I still like to play this game. But on my new desktop in which I haven't installed a dedicated graphics card yet, it runs at approximately 20-25fps at all resolutions. Even when I change graphics from 1280x720 at min. settings to 1080p at max-settings, the change in frame-rate is barely noticeable. In Windows 8, my system's gaming graphics sub-score is 6.1. Processor is i3 3210 which has Intel HD Graphics 2500. My previous notebook with gaming graphics sub-score of 6.5 ran the game at 1366x768 max settings at 80-90 fps. What may be causing this problem?

I know Intel HD 2500 is weak but I expect it to run NFS 5 Porsche Unleashed at decent frame-rate at least on low settings.

System Requirements for your NFS game is pretty basic - your system should be able to handle it without problems.

Maybe look for the latest drivers for that graphics card
