new card just arrived and i wanted to be able to monitor and record my guitar through the analogue inputs. At the moment i am using a free VST host program called vsthost and i have a few VSTs for guitar effects. I noticed that the latency was very high as soon as i started playing, so carried out a test in audacity. I get about 180 milliseconds which i believe is far too high as i hear people can reach less than 10 ms. I have tried adjusting Hz and samples in the control panel, but they don't make any noticeable difference. What can i do to lower this latency? Also, my computer spec is up to date so i don't think the problem is there: Intel core i5 quad core @ 3.1GHz Good Gigabyte motherboard (cant remember model) 60GB SSD (515Gb/s) - primary drive 6GB DDR3 memory ATI graphics card 1GB GDDR5 any help would be greatly appriciated yes, forgot to mention, i'm running windows 7 64 bit with the latest drivers from the manufacturers website
