...for hours, what to do? He isn't crying for hours, he is screaming at the top of his lungs, kicking the walls, etc...anything to be as loud as possible (while his baby brother sleeps across the hall). He is extremely strong willed, and has been since the day he was born.
We have always been very strict about bedtime at 7:30, and while he is technically in his room (no toys, no furniture, just a bed and blankets), he is making it impossible for ANYONE to sleep.
What to do? He's 2 years, 4 months old.
I can see that he is tired, yawning, rubbing eyes, etc, he's just fighting the sleep. He is usually a bear in the morning from lack of sleep.
Oh yes, we have had the same routine since he was a baby. Dinner, wash up, book, bed. He knows it's bed time. This has just recently become a problem.
We can't ignore it b/c it wakes up the baby.
