I've recently noticed some categories on Amazon called "General AAS." If you search for 'general aas' on Google, the first hit (for me at least) is a bestseller list of books in the children's books->general aas category. The current #2 overall bestseller is #1 on that list. I've seen the category referred to in several places and at other sites.
I've seen the letters AAS used in other contexts, collegiate degrees and various societies' initialisms, but I haven't seen it defined in the context I'm interested in: lists or types of books.
