Warning to TV viewers planning to watch Tuesday night's Big Ten showdown between Ohio State and Michigan: You may need sunglasses.

The Wolverines will debut their version of Adidas' monochromatic jerseys, featuring maize tops and shorts with maize numerals and letters, maize socks and maize shoes. Better yet, the Adidas version of the color "maize" appears to more closely resemble retina-burning highlighter yellow.

The extreme color scheme makes Michigan's jerseys more polarizing than other versions of the monochromatic look Adidas schools have unveiled earlier this year. The complaint about previous jerseys Kansas, Tennessee and other schools have worn has been that the letters and numbers have been indecipherable for TV viewers.

If not all Michigan fans like the nontraditional look, perhaps they'll take solace from the fact that the players seem excited about it.

Freshman Nik Stauskas tweeted a picture of the shoes with the caption, "Tell me these aren't raw!" And sophomore Trey Burke echoed that at a news conference on Monday, telling reporters in Ann Arbor he looks forward to unveiling the jerseys against the Buckeyes.

"I like them a lot," Burke said. "I think it definitely goes with our school tradition and the colors Michigan represents."
