Micro SD Card not working in Blackberry... HELP!?

I recently bought a Micro SD card for my Blackberry (8830). As soon as I put it in my phone said that there was an error and I needed to connect the phone to the computer to correct the problem. Now when I connect my phone to my computer it says a new encryption key must be generated. When I try that it says that it did not work and then it closes. I don't know if there is a problem with the memory card or a problem with the phone. WHAT DO I DO?!? I am getting pretty frustrated with this thing.
 
not sure but go into your settings. (the wrench) hit media card and try hitting format card. maybe that will help.
