Middle/Inner Ear Infection in cat?

My Cat cannot be the only cat in the world who has experienced a Middle or Inner ear infection. Please people tell me your cats story with details. My Cat has been to the Vet, but i want to hear owners own story. I"m not talking ear mites, or outer ear infections here. Thank You, God Bless.
Middle or Inner ear infections in cats can resemble brain injury, brain tumors, etc... My Vet thinks my cat has a brain injury of some kind or tumor etc... I think it's an inner ear infection myself. I have done my homework on this. I just need to hear others story closely resembling mine.

If you are sure it's inner ear, then the cat should be on oral anit-biotics/anti-microbials, etc.
Ear drops would not penetrate the depth.

Only that worked for my animals. The combinations of both for few months.
But what makes you think that? And what makes vet think his suggestion? Anything to do with brain is hard to guess without a mylogram (brain x-ray w/dye) .
