Minivan or SUV? Family of 4?

We are a young family of 4 and needing a new car. My question is should we buy a minivan or suv? I like the Vue, Escapes, and other smaller suvs, but I keep thinking maybe a van would be better for us since there is more room. I have two kids in car seats and we will be having a third child in a couple years (by then though we will be replacing my husbands car with something new and bigger). Which would you get. I always think of minivans as soccer mom cars and my husband thinks im too young to drive a van (im 24). lol. Also, which van or suv do you recommend?
