Montheism requires belief in only one thing, the singular entity of God. Whenever a religion requires belief in another entity other than "one God" then we dont have montheism anymore but something else. Maybe we have an "Abrhamic" religion or something else, but we dont technically have monotheism. So this leads to the question "why do some people call Islam a monotheistic" religion? In Islam, If you dont believe in Muhammad or the Quran not only are you prohibited from being a Muslim, but your also the enemy marked for termination. MUSLIM EGYPT: I dont want any religion. Im an atheist. My point is pretty simple. Pure monotheism requires belief in only one thing "a single God". So I can reject Muhammad or Thor or whoever, but if I believe in the one God, then I am a believer. In Islam however, this isnt sufficient. If I reject Muhammad because he owned slaves or had nine hundred prisoners beheaded, then I am hated, rejected, and non-muslim. By the way, wasnt Egypt great before Islam? Egyptians could have regained their greatness if not for Islam. To bad. Islam Destroyed Once Great Egypt: I can love the fiction of Allah with all my heart and worship him ten times a day, instead of five, but if I reject the slave-owning warlord, then I cant be a Muslim and even worse, according to Islam, Im going to hell. How can a religion where belief in one God is not sufficient be considered monotheism?
