She had discomfort, and passed a bit of blood, so visited the doctors and they diagnosed her with UTI and precribed her a course of anti-biotics. Now, she claims shes too ill to come on holiday and as a result won't let my sister go either (doesnt want to be left alone).

Me and my dad were looking forward to it being a family holiday, and aren't really sure what to do. Does my mother have sufficient grounds to refuse to go, or is she just being rediculous in cancelling a whole holiday because of this?

Thanks
The issue is it seems we are only going to be able to recover a small percentage of the money from the insurance company, and of course the airline, hotel, etc, won't refund.

You need to get her cranberry capsules, 1000MG or higher and she needs to take two or more a day, this, along with 8-10 glasses of water will clear that up in no time. She really should go, it would distract her and she could relax and you guys could go out and enjoy yourselves. You can get the capsules at any drug store or health food store, they're very cheap, I pay $8.40 for a month's supply and they have made such a difference for me. I have had UTI infections for 30 years and never once did anyone tell me about the capsules until I was doing telemarketing at a previous job and one of the ladies I spoke with told me about them and I've been using them ever since, even after the first dose the comfort level is amazing.
