Motor Cylcle fuel problems GSX750F?

I ride a Suzuki GSX750F on a 99 plate. Just recently it seems to be using a lot more fuel than usual – usually I get 150 miles out of a tank and recently its dropped to about 120.. the only other thing I’ve noticed is that When I accelerate hard, when the revs get to around between 7,000 and 9,000 it sort of chokes a bit and stutters before carrying on…. Anyone got any ideas why this is?
 
When did you last have your carbs balanced or a clean air filter - could also be some water in the fuel...Honda CBX 750Fe - had the same problem - a carb balance sorted it out
 
New spark plugs maybe,
New air filter perhaps
A full service would help.
Valve clearance check and adjust?
