I'm having a lot of trouble on picking a phone to buy. I have had the Nokia 5300 since August 2007, and i'm sort of sick of it. I cant even use it anymore, because its badly broken. I am strictly looking for a phone with a QWERTY keyboard, because typing on the Nokia 5300 is difficult, especially that I am now 14. Thankfully, the Motorola Cliq, Samsung Gravity 3, and the Samsung Gravity Touch all have that. But, the Cliq comes with a 30 dollar data plan since it's an ANDROID phone. I've tried to find ways to not pay for the 30 dollars but I guess it's not working. People have said that "if you use wifi instead of T-Mobile's data plan, you wont have to pay the money." "If you pay the phone in full price, you don't have to get the data plan. And so on. I would like to know if those statements are true or not, and if you have any suggestions on paying for the data, please tell me. Now moving onto the Gravities. I like the Samsung Gravity 3 because it's easy to use, but not so basic. The Gravity Touch reminds me of the Cliq because of the touch screen and the QWERTY keyboard. I've heard that the 3rd Gravity doesn't have a headphone jack, and that's a problem because I constantly listen to music everywhere. I don't exactly know if the Touch has this same problem too. My father likes both phones, but I want him to be happy with one more suitable for his age and type, which would be the Touch. he has no problem with us both having the same phone, but i kind of do. Could I have a lost of the pros and cons for the 2 Samsung phones and probably some personal experiences with any of the 3 phones? Thank You. Oh yeah, and I am on contract, but my father wants me to take me off of the old one (it's a long story). So if i'm not on a contract, will the data plan price for the cliq be lesser than 30 dollars a month? Thanks again.
