Motorola RIZR Z3 Powering on?

Hey,
I recently got a Motorola RIZR. I was surprised to find that this phone turns on with just a tap of the power button rather than having to hold it. This, however, makes it turn on when I leave it in my backpack at school. Is there any way to change this so I have to hold it to turn it on?
