Motorolla Droid X vs. Samsung Fascinate?

Im trying to decide between these 2 phones. I read that the fascinate would become better than the droid x when it gets to android 2.2, but wouldnt the droid x just become better again when android 2.3 comes out? and wouldnt this pattern just keep going on? that's my main problem with the battle is to see which will be better long lol.
