In the movie Shawshenk Redemption, the prosecutor at beginning of movie gives two versions at trial.

1. 38 bullets shot and 2. tells jury that a revolver holds 6 not eight bullets.

How do #1 and #2 make sense
Answer only if you have seen this movie.

a 38 special holds 6 bullets, each person was shot 4 times, 8 shots. The prosecutor was making a point that it wasn't a crime of passion, but that he had not only shot them and empty the gun, but reloaded to shoot each person one additional time.

Thats how 1 and 2 makes sense. The prosecution was proving a point that the murders were execution, cold, calculating instead of a crime of passion. Because a 38 only hold six, but there were 8 shots.
