...company to move it? I am moving out of my parents house to another state (18 hour drive). I don't have that much furniture, just 1 room full (big bonus room).

I have a desk, office chair, queen sized bed, futon, 2 bookshelves full of books, 2 folding butterfly chairs (don't take up any space to move since they can be folded in the same way as a beach chair), clothes, shoes, an end table, lamp, miscellaneous trinkets that sit on the top of my desk, posters hanging on my wall, a guitar and a keyboard.

To be honest I never play the keyboard or guitar anymore so I can sell those. The furniture I do have is cheap and the bed will probably have to be sold anyway since I'll be sharing a bed with someone when I move. I know moving companies are pretty expensive so it may not be worth it to hire a company or even a truck. But on the other hand, I doubt my parents will let me sell the furniture so it may be worth it to take it.

What would you do in my situation?
