I have to give MTV credit--they have been crushing it when it comes to advocating for and educating about eating disorders. Not only did they partner with Demi Lovato for her heartbreaking/beautiful special, Stay Strong, they've been dealing with complex issues like body image*and, recently, orthorexia nervosa--a relatively newly acknowledged eating disorder that is characterized by an obsession with healthy food and purity.
