Must have shooters for a newbie pc gamer?

Had a pretty high spec computer for a few months now and would like some nice fps' for it. I hear alot of the console ones fail on pc :( So I was looking for any shooters that are exclusive/better on PC :D Using PC for fraps gameplay recording youtube- IIEDoGv5
 
Check out the Battlefield series. It's better on the PC, to me at least. Other you could try are Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1&2, Tom Clancy Rainbow Six 1&2( a bit different due to you controlling the team but they can do almost all the missions on their own so that can start you off) are good too. Get the Orange box too, it has a couple of good games in it.
 
Half Life 1, 2 and 2 Ep 1 & 2
Portal 1 & 2
Crysis 1 & 2 (Beware that your PC needs to be really advanced to use this)
Deus Ex 1 & 2
 
Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 (Better on PC)
Battlefield BC 1&2
Team Fortress 2 (Way better on PC)
Counter Strike: Source (PC)


There would be others, but I can't think of them at the moment. :P
