Christians claim that the name Muhammad is mentioned no where in the Bible.

By name Muhammad is mentioned in Song of Soloman 5 16 if you listen to it in Hebrew at timing 2.27-2.32 seconds.

....and even if this is true, why is it so important to prove that Muhammad's name is in the bible? Is it that you feel you have to validate Islam with the Christian bible?
 
no it is not the name Muhammad

just because it sounds similar does not mean it is the name

it is the hebrew word

Good try. The word Mahammadym in Hebrew means 'delights' and because Hebrew and Arabic are etymologically related (ie. they are both close semitic languages) they come from the same root, as do many words in both Hebrew and Arabic. The word is a common noun and NOT a proper noun (ie a name) and is found in other passages also ( Hosea 9:6,16; 1 Kings 20:6; Lamentations 1:10,11; 2:4; Isaiah 64:10; 2 Chronicles 36:19; Ezekiel 24:16,21,25).

When one does this one can see why only the occurrence in the Song of Solomon is cited by Muslims. The others tell one that Mahammyd was destroyed (2 Chron. 36:19), was to be laid waste (Isa. 64:10-11), has been taken captive by an enemy (Lam. 1:10), has been traded for food (Lam. 1:11), has been slain by God (Lam. 2:4; Hos. 9:16), has been removed by God (Ezek. 24:16), is to be profaned by God (Ezek. 24:21), is to be buried in nettles (Hos. 9:6) and been carried away by pagans into their temples (Joel 3:5).

No wonder only the Songs verse is used to prove Muhammad, and not the others...lol
