Ok, I know the first sentence the cops MUST say to a defendant or criminal is the following:
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to have an attorney present during questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you.
The question is, must the cops also say that sentence to the claimant when interviewing him? If they did not say it, what are the legal charges the cops can be facing? especially if those cops intimidated the claimant during that interview.
