new safe suv or a used convertible? my 15 year old daughter will 16 in 6 weeks she wants to get a convertible are a sporty coupe because were giving her 2000 each to put toward her own car where she will pay the full insurance and half the car payment or she can let us buy her a safe tested suv but she doesnt want that the suv will be partially new since were gonna do a trade on another car so she will have a partially new suv but she has her mind set on a sporty car so what should i do
 
SUV's have quite a few downfalls for firstime drivers.
Not only is the center of gravity higher, thus making it easier to roll, they get horrible gas mileage at a time when gas prices are ridiculous, and she can have lots of people in the car with her.
The majority of teenage accidents occur when there are more than 2 people in the car.
