My 1994 Dodge Ram Conversion Van won't start. It'll turn over but it won't fire, how

can I fix it? It's been parked about 5 years, in the woods. I've got a couple questions. It ran 5 years ago and it's okay turning over, I'm not getting any spark in the engine. My buddy was stupid and tried to put the battery in backwards. He smoked a harness going to what I believe is the ignition. Is there a fusible link or something I may have burnt out or do I have to replace the entire wiring harness?
