My 95 Caprice has an electric pump that sends extra air to the engine during start up, when engines run rich. The older model Caprice had a mechanical pump. If your truck has a set up like that, the pump could be failing or if it's electric like mine, it could have a blown fuse or bad check valves. Pick up a Haynes manual for your truck and see if you can find some more info there.Good luck.</blockquote>
