My 2003 Lincoln Ls (v6) jerks when shifting into drive. What may be wrong with it?

When in [Parked] the car almost seems as if it squats or jerks when shifting into [Drive] but runs fairly smooth once in motion, I find it awkward and would like to hear from others with a Lincoln Ls experiencing the same problem.
