My 2month old hates being in a car seat!!?

My son does not like his car seat. Evertime we go out he starts crying because he wants out. I find that only a pacifier will get him to stop. And that is my next problem he is not able to hold it in his mouth. I tried an ortho pacifier and then switched to a longer nipple figuring the other was to short and he still is not able to hold it. Any suggestions on how to make car rides a litle less noisy? Also what type of pacifier should he use? The only time I give it to him is in the car.
 
i bought a mirror to see my dd in the r earview i think it is one of the rainforest or fisherprice? anyways, it is big enough to see her and it plays music and a light show and you have a remote to turn it on and off; she loves it...she's seven weeks by the way , 8 on sunday
 
hi, check that the straps are not to tight for him as this can cause discomfort my baby did not like her dummy to start with but just keep trying hold it in till he starts sucking or try putting glycerine on it as it tastes better and he may like its taste...good luck
