my 3 year old son is complaining of belly pain. 5 days ago he spiked a fever of 102.4 out of nowhere. i gave him Tylenol and the fever went away. for two days he continued to mildly complain of a belly ache and wasn't eating as much, but still enough. His bowel movements have been normal. Then he woke up in the middle of the night screaming of stomach pain so i drove him to the emergency room. The doctor pushed on his belly and couldn't get him to show any sign of discomfort. Then looked in his mouth and noticed a red throat and swollen glands. He wasn't swabbed for strep but was discharged with antibiotics. now two days later he is still complaining of stomach pain, the redness in his throat has disappeared and he has just spiked another fever of 102. What is going on? Could his throat or the antibiotics be causing these problems, or could it be serious?
