My 6 month old screams for a second then goes right back to playing?

My 6 month old has been doing this thing recently...she'll be playing contently and then all of a sudden she'll let out this ear piercing scream and then just as quickly as it begins it ends and she is playing again...is something wrong or is she just realizing her voice? Her face looks like shes mad, but she stops suddenly too...anyone else ever experience this?
 
it could be just checking you are watching her, my daughter has done that and as soon as i turn my attention to her shes all smiles, or it could just be 'ooh look how loud i can scream thats fun'
 
she's discovered some changes to her voice- try to encourage the screaming for outdoors only.
 
Unless its an "I'm in pain" scream I wouldn't worry.

She could like screaming, or she could be frustrated. Even if she's frustrated you should just let her work it out unless she screams for a few minutes.
 
my son does it constantly he is 8 months and has been doing it for 2 months now i think he does it because he is getting a pain in his tooth he does it repeatedly like ahh then pause then ahhh and it is very loud also he does shout when he wants attention but that's not so loud
