and possibly went down the heating vent, would he crawl all the way down to the main unit and burn up?
 
No, you'll most likely find it in a towel drawer or something. They find places like that and "hibernate" during winter.
 
not too sure, but i think after a while it gets really thin and yours might have a screen or something at the end of it.
 
mine brothers did. We found it alive in the laundry, like, a week after and my mother made my brother take it back. And i really think it is possible to get in the heating vent cause if the snake can get out of its cage, off the table, and all the way to the heating vent I think it can get through the little bars. But like, why would it want to go in the heating vent! I mean seriously dude, I think you are a bit of a worry wart
