I got my bearded dragon a new cage from the 10 gallon she was in for almost a year and a half (had money problems and couldn't get her a new cage for a while, it was going great when I first got her, I had money for her) and now shes in a 40 gallon tank which is a big change for her I understand. But she is doing what I call reverse push ups, she takes her arms and plants them on something then push's her back end up in the air feet and all and wiggles her but. I admit this was cute the first time she did it but now she is doing it all the time. I put all of her favorite things in her new cage, her toys, climbing rocks, even her sleeping log. she gets the same amount of food if not more when shes hungry but something seems off about her. When I spray her she has been acting strange to it too, shes been throwing her arms in the air sometimes jumping at it and half the time she does this then starts the death roll (its a croc and alligator thing) and when she does this she smashes her face and head and sometimes her whole body into the glass. Now don't get me wrong I love her and adore her and pay close attention to her but this makes me not want to pick her up or hold her or even spray her cage or clean it. I'm not sure what to do anymore, shes only about a year and a half and I'm looking for any growth that she might be doing that could cause her to push her rear end into the air and all I see is the base of her tail went from a half an inch to a full inch. When my boyfriend saw it he said that she might be "backed up" and so I made a slight mixture for her, not enough to harm her and fully diluted. I fear that every time I walk into my house I'll find her dead and it scares me. I love her I really do. Please if anyone could help me that would be amazing. I don't have a picture of her doing it because I thought it was hurting her when I sprayed her or even when she was doing her push ups. I have her lights and sense shes had a basking light her death rolls have not been as bad. But I do intend to buy her a UVB light on my next check, the suckers are like 15 if not 20 bucks, but shes totally worth it. IM NOT BUYING HER A HEATING ROCK NOR PAD!!! SO DONT SUGGEST IT!!!. Those things hurt poor lizards and its inhumane really, those things focus all the heat to one area, the belly and underarms and legs, burning the poor critters.
