So I love my boyfriend. I've been with him for over 2 and a half years so far. As of late we've been having such a tough time together though mainly due to the fact that we share such different interests. Here are some of the things that goes on:

~He enjoys video games, but I don't enjoy them much. If anything I'll last an hour on a wii game, but he'll last all freaking day long on a certain game!
~He hates going out to places, but I love going out to places such as dinner, movies, and now that it's around Halloween I enjoy corn mazes, haunted houses, etc. He doesn't like any of that stuff.
~He hates to swim, but I love to swim.
~I feel school is really important, but he acts like it's not all that important.
~He loves to socialize with a lot of people, but I'm not a very big social person mostly due to my social anxiety.

As a result of numerous differences between us it just ruins use. He feels he can't tell me anything that excites him because I won't care (e.g. if something big happens in one of his video games). And I feel the same way about things that interest me. He has openly told me "I don't care" when I tell him something that interested me.

It's just hard. We love each other for other reasons because our opposites are good, but only to a certain point. As of late it just seems as if our opposites have hit the extreme mark, to the point where if it stays like this we won't work out. Has anyone been in a situation like this and knows what to do? I don't want to break up =(
dtp1794: There are more than just those differences. I just didn't want to list them all. I'm sorry, I should have put "etc" under it all. Those are the major ones though.
Tommy: He enjoys going to his friends house a lot, but I hate going to other peoples houses. I feel so out of place and awkward (I have a problem, I know). But I am perfectly comfortable when it comes to going out WITH his friends.
