So, until about a week ago when we almost hit 0 degrees, my car's battery had no issues. My car refused to start, and then a friend of my family who's a mechanic charged the battery and replaced the spark plugs and got it to start just fine. He only charged it for about 20 min., but it started after charging and replacing the spark plugs. Two days later, however, it refuses to start and the battery is almost dead again. Can the cold just kill a battery's ability to hold charge? Does it need replaced or just charged longer?
