[QUOTE="JesusQuintana, post: 1029783, member: 308416"] 93 ford explorer 4x4 4.0 v6 4 door model with automatic transmission. it has 57,000 miles on it. had the transmission rebuilt a year and a half ago at around 53 or 54 thousand miles on it. when i start to accelerate sometimes like in a driveway or parking lot from a dead stop the car shakes a little bit. it only does it briefly up to about 5 miles an hour or so. other than that it drives perfectly fine. not sure why it's doing that. could it be the clutch in my auto transmission (if it has a clutch i don't know too much about cars obviously) or the transmission itself? it feels almost like what you would expect riding with someone with a manual transmission, when the clutch is starting to engage from a dead stop. any ideas? i read in another question about a possible motor mount being broken or lose? never heard of that before....could that be what it is? btw, it never used to do this. i just noticed it happening last night, and it did it again today when i ran to the store.
