I have a 1995 saturn. when the car has been sitting for a while it is very very hard to move the gear shift out of park. sometimes it takes 10 min or so of continuously trying and working with it. after it finally goes into gear it is no problem to put it in park and back in gear again. until it sits for a long time again. when you push on the button on the gear shift it feels like there is pressure built up inside it or something until it goes into gear the first time then after that when you push it the pressure seems to release.
