I've heard that adult cats will have a habit of suckling if they've been taken away from their mothers too early (I adopted my cat when he was a year old, so I don't know if it's the case with him). He will suckle on a soft blanket for hours at a time. I am not kidding - hours.
How can I get him to stop? He's incredibly strong when it comes to trying to take the blanket away; he's pretty much adhered to it until he decides to pursue another activity. But he's so happy when he does it, and gets really affectionate afterwords.... I think he gets off on it o_0
