My CD/DVD Drive is not detected. What to do?

I think I have seen all the solutions on the web regarding this problem. But the thing here is, THERE IS NO UPPER AND LOWER FILTERS for me to delete in the registry editor. Help. I have already used the Microsoft Fixit and it did not seem to help.
