my chevy s10 2000 keeps overheating even though i dont move the truck all i do is

turn it on and let it sit.? i just bought coolant for it too what could it be
 
your gonna want to see if the fans are working (they usually come on automatically when the air conditioning is on.. i think), and check your water pump first of all.. then flush the system and replace all the coolant, also replace the thermostat too (its only like 10 bucks)
