My computer isn't recognizing my itouch, need help?

When I plug it in, it says something like, "USB device not recognized" in the bottom right corner. It was just working with my computer a day ago. I plugged it into a different computer, and it recognized it. I ran the troubleshooting wizard and even downloaded 'microsoft fix it' to try to figure out my problem. I also opened windows updater and installed 3 updates and restarted. None of those things worked. My computer also didn't recognize a recorder device called Tascam dr-05. Both devices have no problem with them , I use them every day. I also have tried all usb ports. I'm thinking it's a problem with my usb ports, how do I fix it? Please help!

P.s. I have a Dell Inspiron and am running windows 7.
