So, My parents split when I about five and since then my dad was never really in my life. Maybe a couple phone calls every year and would maybe see him every couple years but thats it.
He lives out in Santa Monica, CA with his wife and two kids (my step mother, brother, and sister) working as an engineer. Earlier this year he calls and asks me if I'd like to come and intern under one his architect collegues. I thought about it for a while, but eventually agreed. So now I'm out in CA, and have been here for a little over a week.
I'v been staying with him and his family, and they are great! My dad has really been trying to gey to kno me better, he took us all down to San Diego to go to the zoo for the weekend.
Yesterday on the ride home from the office, we somehow got on the subject of my sexuality, and I eventually confessed.
to sum up the rest of the convorsation, he told me he never ruled out that I could be gay b/c he wasnt there. he's not going to send me home unless I want to go.This isn't bad, it just feels wierd now.i am thankful b/c this could have been ALOT worse
