My Directv BRAND NEW HD DVR is resetting itself or turning off and resetting

itself every 20 to 30 minutes? I upgraded to a Directv HD DVR which was installed by a Directv Tech. just yesterday and every 20 to 30 minutes the DVR either resets itself or turns off then resets. I spoke with at least 6 different Tech. Support people at different times throughout the night who seem to give me different reasons why this is happening. The last 3 Tech. Support people I spoke with had me checking the cables then unplug the DVR from the surge protector and plug directly into the wall outlet, and then SCAN the hard drive which found 0 errors, so then the DVR resets itself 2 times and a Tech. Support person stated that is normal to reset 2 times after scanning the hard drive, and then the Tech. Support person stated the problem should have corrected itself. 15 minutes after getting off the phone the DVR reset itself or turns off and resets itself. The last Tech. Support person stated he was very sorry for all of this and stated the previous Tech. Support people should have told me I need to have a new HD DVR sent to me and all the troubleshooting I have been doing was pointless because it is clearly a bad receiver with a glitch in the hard drive. He stated he was going to FED EX me a new HD DVR and cancel a service call I had for this with a Technician because I do not need a Technician just a new HD DVR. Somehow I stiil think a Technican looking over the whole system is a good idea, looking for some direction......THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
