my dodge ram make a thumping noise?

I recently purchased a 2003 dodge ram 1500SLT automatic,with a 5.7ltr hemi. The truck is in good condition it has about 70,000 miles on it, but when i drive over small bumps in the road, or even man hole covers something in the front end makes a small thumping sound. The truck is under warranty so i took it in to the dealer and they drove it, and said they could hear the sound but cant find where it's coming from. The alignment is off a little so they are going to fix that, but does anyone know what that sound could be?
