my dodge ram transmission is slipping, what do i do?

my "97" ram transmission is starting to slip. seems like it stays in one gear to long. how much could i be looking at as far as possible repairs/replacement???

Take that truck of yours to a reputable transmission shop. Possibility that the bands needs to be tightened. I hope that you're looking at under 500 bucks to solve your problem. Don't wait or else it could cost more.
