...with liver troubles? My dog is a 10.5 chiauhua/corgie/terrier cross and has always been very active and healthy. This past year he has had troubles with his anal glands so I get them cleaned every 6 weeks. Last week he was very lethargic (unusual for him) so I took him to the vet. His liver was at 1083 (average is 10-150) We had a urine sample done & ultra sound - no signs or symptoms of Cushings or tumors. Last night he started shuffeling around (not wanting to sit for long - looking as though he can't get comfortable) This morning he is doing the same thing, his tail is in between in legs and he's quivering (holding his body tense but shivers) He seems very agitated and uncomfortable. His anal glands were just cleaned a week ago but he looks very uncomfortable - I feel so bad for this little guy. Any advice? thanks so much for your time! He is on liver medication and anti-anxiety as he has so much separation anxiety so I thought the stress may be affecting his liver as well. We feed him really good food and he gets at least an hour of off leash excercise a day. For 10.5 he looks really young - I feel so bad for my sweet dog!
