The puppies are no more than an hour old. but we have to move them indoors because of the bigger dogs we have will kill the puppies. my question is how to move them without freaking my dog and her puppies out. i need somebody to tell me how to move my dog and her three puppies out from under stairs and into the house. i need answers asap.

It's really very simple make your mama dog some food w/canned food in it....she will get up and go eat it....pick up all the puppies at once...take them inside, put them in a box w/towel or rug....mama will come in then. No trauma, no problem.
Keep the mom away from the other dogs....sometimes they will try to kill the mom. Have had it happen.

Just put a leash on the mom ( lure her to you with a treat, like a hot dog or something really good) and have someone lead her while someone else carries the puppies.Have a room ready for her with a box or something for her and the pups.Give her food and water ( puppy food, all she wants). That's all there is to it.She shouldn't freak out with her owners. Mom and pups should see a vet within 48 hours to make sure all is well. And PLEASE get the mom spayed in 3 months, before she comes into heat again!

First you move very slowly and easy with the mom, do not attempt to touch the pups till you get her out of there, she will resist so be patient and be careful please.

Leash her or tempt her with s treat, move her away and be sure to hold on to her,get the pups out into a box, so they won't get chilled or dropped by accident, then walk slowly into the house, mom will follow.

Lay them down on a nice clean sheet with a blanket for comfort under it, she will go right to them, watch her and make sure she let's them nurse again, some moms not many will not want them to nurse after being touched by humans, but she should, very few do this.

Good luck and again be careful and gentle with her

Congrats on the new pups....what are you gonna name them

Curly, Mo and Larry, Just kidding have fun with the new kids
