A few weeks ago, my dog found a rabbit's nest. We saved the bunnies, but ever sense, she has been running in circles outside like a mad fool. She will run for hours around and around the yard, whining and barking at nothing. She comes inside only when I force her, and even then she is panting to near exhaustion. It's to the point where I think she isn't even enjoying being outside. I'm not sure if I should be concerned, or if the behavior will go away. She is driving me crazy! Any ideas that might help? She is a puggle: half beagle, half pug. And her nose is plastered to the ground the whole time looking for these rabbits that are long gone. I keep telling her to give it up (like she understand..hehe) but she doesn't want to listen. And as far as "go and play with her", would be fine if she'd let us. All 3 of my kids would be outside with her and she'd ignore them, and just run and sniff and whine.
