riddled with it,? She has her good days & bad days but generally she ( a stumpy tailed cattle dog ) is a very good dog & still chases (sometimes) the birds out of her yard. The question i have is she doesn`t show any obvious signs of pain, so how am i to tell if she is ? I`m also told that vitamin D may reduce the size of the tumor ???

if it is that bad, veterinarians don't lie, then she will have to be put down at sometime in the future. Your vet will not tell you when as it is a very emotional and personal decision. You will know, one day she will yelp loudly and become withdrawn, that's the sign that she is in too much pain to continue and the cancer has gone way to far into her system
