My mom happened to be sewing and fighting with my dad, while this happened, our puppy got ahold of the needle she dropped and swallowed it. We took him to the vet asap, and found out the price of the surgery is very pricey. My parents are deciding whether to get a loan for the surgery. The vet told my dad that the needle went through his stomach and into his liver. We also were notified that we could lose the dog if we go through with surgery. And we were notified that there were many puppies that swallowed needles and did live a long life. In your opinion, what would you do? Any of you have been faced with this tough situation? This is so hard for my family and I because we just lost our past dog, and got this one recently. Thank you in advance..
