when i adopted my dog his tail fur was really long and curly. it was gorgeous. unfortunately, there were some knots in it that we couldn't get out so when he got groomed, we had the groomer trim his tail. now its growing back and its a wierd texture and straight like chow fur or something (my dog is part chow). will my dogs fur stay like this now? or is it possible that when it grows to be just as long it will be curly again?
heres his tail before, you can kindof see the curlyness:

i'm asking because i heard that sometimes if you cut a dogs fur with a double coat, youll screw it up.
