Hi, my Acer Aspire laptop DVD-RW drive is somehow not creating anymore discs, like burning files on them.
No matter if DVDs or CDs!
It worked a while ago perfectly but now its not.
But it works perfectly on playback of DVD/CDs and therefore is being recognized by the computer in the Device Manager.
I tried to update the hardware driver, which I did and it said the the driver is up-to-date.
Everything else worked fine except the burning process.
Is there maybe something broken or will the burning process after a while just expire ( doubtful? )?
It has nothing to do with the operating system because I had it on Win7 and when it than gave up burning I tried to go back to Win Vista, with the same result.
Windows7 was a fake copy, which I got scammed but Vista is my original authentic copy.
Do i have to buy a whole new drive just for the one feature of burning discs?
Why is it not working anymore?
When it worked I used the burner quite frequently, sometimes even several times a day!
