My friend is not talking to me because I criticized a gadget he purchased!

What to do? My friend purchased a gadget from a Chinese website and asked me my opinion. I replied that I did not like knock offs and that the gadget was useless. The following morning a number of colleagues jokingly expressed the same opinion... well it seems he is now in a cold war with me and another colleague... what should we do?
